Watermelon a fruit loosely considered a type of melon. It's a green colored fruit with dark green stripes that has a smooth exterior and with sweet juicy red flesh interior. Watermelon belong to the family known as Cucurbitaceae which consist of cantaloupes, squash, pumpkin and cucumber. Over the years there have been studies conducted if watermelons do have health benefits. Some say that watermelon can aggravate diabetic conditions because of its sweetness but watermelon has a low sugar content and the rest is water by weight. Here are some benefits of eating watermelon;

  1. Watermelon is good for the Heart -  because it is low in fat, cholesterol and rich in antioxidants such as (lycopene), which works to fight free radical compounds. Thereby protecting the vessels and arteries from hardening.
  2. Watermelon prevent Cancer -  because it's rich in antioxidant. It's red flesh has a significant source of lycopene that is twice as much as a tomato have. Watermelon also contain vitamin C and A wihich aid in fighting cancer cells by protecting cells from free radicals. 
  3.  Watermelon fights Infection - because watermelons contains many vitamins that boost our immune system.
  4. Watermelon improves sexual activity - because it also has citrulline which is an amino acid tha expand the blood vessels, thus allowing the passage of more blood vessels to the penis leading to erection.
  5. Watermelon is good for the Kidney -  it has a diuretic effect because of it contain large amount of water. 

  6. Watermelon prevent High Blood Pressure - Potassium and manganese are working on blood pressure regulation, as well as antioxidants work to maintain the health of blood vessels against sclerosis, which helps to ease the movement of the passage of blood vessels, thus reducing the high blood pressure.
  7.  Wateremlon is good for the Eye - because of it's rich in vitamin A.
  8. Watermelon good choice diet for Diabetic Person - because of it's potassium and magnesium are working to help the body to secrete insulin and regulate the blood sugar levels.
